Superior Flux was founded in 1932 to manufacture industrial flux products for soldering and brazing. In 1949 Superior Flux entered the electronics market as an early manufacturer of fluxes using the Battelle Formula. Known as Superior SupersafeŽ No. 30, this was one of the first organic, water-soluble fluxes to be introduced to the electrical and electronics industry. In the past 20 years, Superior Flux has developed more than 150 new fluxes to meet the assembly requirements of companies and individuals engaged in soldering, brazing, and welding. In addition to fluxes developed by Superior Flux & Mfg. Co., acquisitions have broadened Superior's product line and customer base.
