Kombinat Aluminijuma Podgorica is aluminium smelter located in South-Eastern Europe - Montenegro. Production is 260.000 mt calcined alumina and 120.000 mt of aluminium ingots per year.
Aluminum Plant Podgorica (KAP) is part of the Central European Aluminum Company (CEAC), which was created to manage the assets of EN + Group in Central-Eastern Europe.
KAP is the industrial powerhouse of Montenegro, representing 51% of the country’s exports. Since acquisition in 2005, in accordance with its Sales and Purchasing Agreement, it has aggressively modernized its plant and equipment as part of a 75-million-euro program. One of the key initiatives of this program is an environmental protection project, on which KAP is working with companies of world -renowned environmental expertise.

KAP’s Casthouse casts molten aluminum into two products:
-STANDARD INGOTS:
The ingots each weigh 20kg and are stacked in pallets weighing 900 - 1000 kg. They are re-melted for alloying in foundry plants.
–INGOTS:
These are cast and then sawed to lengths of between 940 and 965mm. The ingots weigh between 600 and 650kg, depending on customer requirements, and range in metal quality from A6 – A8.
